The Central Maryland Chorale began as the Laurel Oratorio Society,
an association of choir members from local churches, gathered together to sing Brahms' German Requiem at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in 1969.
CMC is a non-auditioned chorus which attracts singers from the metropolitan areas of Washington DC and Baltimore who enjoy singing choral masterworks, as well as lighter musical fare.
Calling all Singers! Covid Haitus and masking requirements have cut our membership. Voices needed in all sections.
But (of course) especially Tenors. If you would like to join us in the Spring, please be patient as we review our masking policy
We rehearse every Monday evening, September through May, including federal holidays, from 7:15 to ~9:00 p.m. at the Laurel Presbyterian Church, 7610 Old Sandy Spring Rd., in Laurel, Maryland. Auditions are not required, although you should be able to read music from a score.
Welcoming vocalists from Frederick County since 2016
